This is a brief guide to provide useful information that is required to set up your business with WhatsApp. While your Account Manager will guide you through most of the process, sometimes it’s handy having step by step instructions to follow in your own time.
Unfortunately, due to the way the application process works, it can take a few days for the WhatsApp account to be set up. The account manager will be in touch during the process to keep you updated.
Prerequisites
VisitorChat needs to already be managing SMS chats on your behalf. We we don’t already handle your SMS chats, please contact your account manager who will be happy to arrange it for you.
You need a validated business account on Facebook. For more information, click here.
Accept Jewel Notification
Once we have everything we need, we will apply to WhatsApp on your behalf to create the account. Once WhatsApp has approved the application they will send what is known as a Jewel Notification to the admins of the business account to approve. Details on how to approve this can be found below.
Note: Only Facebook Administrators of the Business Manager will be able to view and approve requests.
Open the Business Settings menu.
Navigate to the Requests sub-menu.
Select the Received tab.

Facebook Business Manager ID
When we apply to Meta on your behalf to create a WhatsApp account, they require the Facebook Business ID that we are applying on behalf of. To help you find this ID, please see the Facebook Help Centre article here.
